From The CASE Association: FREE one year Membership!

Dear Conference Participants:

Thank you again for making this year’s virtual conference a real success.  A major theme of the conference involved the use of the case teaching method in the classroom.  Cases have become the interactive lifeline between instructors and students during these times of remote and online teaching.  The CASE Association, in recognition of our partnership with EAM, would like to share its mission of expanding access to case materials for use in the classroom.  The CASE Journal is one valuable resource to accomplish this mission.

So, if you were a registered participant in the 2020 conference, The CASE Association is offering a one-year free membership which includes access to all of the membership resources.  This offer is not available to those who did not register for the conference.

We hope that you will avail yourself of this opportunity.  Happy teaching!

Welcome to The CASE Association

The CASE Association (CASE, formerly known as the Eastern Case Writers’ Association) welcomes you to its web site. CASE is an affiliate of the North American Case Association (NACRA) and meets annually in May in conjunction with the Eastern Academy of Management (EAM). This home page is designed to become your gateway to the wonderful world of case writing, teaching, and research, and therefore remains a work in progress.

Among our recent innovations, CASE launched the Certified Case Writer Program in 2017. The program is designed to certify experienced case writers, mentor new case writers, and hopefully offer business school faculty, whether scholars or practitioners, an avenue toward publication. Please check out the information on our website to participate. Gina Vega and David Desplaces are the program directors. We are very enthusiastic about this program!

Our online journal, The CASE Journal, pioneered in October of 2004, includes not only teaching cases but also articles addressing the case method of instruction and research. Full access to the journal is available to all with a simple login procedure. Please encourage your business school departments and colleagues to submit cases. The editor of The CASE Journal, Rebecca Morris, is hard at work to bring us another great issue.  Read more ….
