A Farewell to Gina Vega
Message from The CASE Association President….
Our dear friend and mentor Gina Vega has decided to hang up her CASE Association spurs and move on to other exciting professional activities. Gina has been an integral member of CASE for more than 20 years. She served as President of the Association, Journal Editor and became a Fellow. She was responsible for launching The CASE Journal those many years ago and has literally written the book on case writing. She ran case writing workshops nationwide and designed, built, and directed the CASE Certification program.
Gina, you will be missed and we want to thank you for your many years of service.
Best of luck in your future endeavors.
Miriam F. Weismann and the CASE Association Board
Welcome to The CASE Association
The CASE Association (CASE, formerly known as the Eastern Case Writers’ Association) welcomes you to its web site. CASE is an affiliate of the North American Case Association (NACRA) and meets annually in May in conjunction with the Eastern Academy of Management (EAM). This home page is designed to become your gateway to the wonderful world of case writing, teaching, and research, and therefore remains a work in progress.
Among our recent innovations, CASE launched the Certified Case Writer Program in 2017. The program is designed to certify experienced case writers, mentor new case writers, and hopefully offer business school faculty, whether scholars or practitioners, an avenue toward publication. Please check out the information on our website to participate. Gina Vega and David Desplaces are the program directors. We are very enthusiastic about this program!
Our online journal, The CASE Journal, pioneered in October of 2004, includes not only teaching cases but also articles addressing the case method of instruction and research. Full access to the journal is available to all with a simple login procedure. Please encourage your business school departments and colleagues to submit cases. The editor of The CASE Journal, Rebecca Morris, is hard at work to bring us another great issue. Read more ….
